Stretch And Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives DVD+3 Cassette Boxset｜ Books

Deluxe edition of Bobbito's documentary! Back before the internet, college radio was your gateway for underground ish. Whether it be Punk, Electronica, or Hip Hop, if you lived in a slightly populous town with a decent college you can bet your dials were turned onto one of those stations at some point during the week. And while New York had Mr Magic's Rap Attack, Underground Railroad, Funkmaster Flex, and countless other radio shows the early 90s held something special with the Stretch and Bobbito show on Columbia University's 89.9. Every Thursday night from 1-5 am they showcased the best underground rap straight from the source, NYC. In the few important years on the air, they managed to break some of the most influential Hip Hop artists to ever exist. Biggie, Hova, Nas, Big Pun, Fat Joe, Wu Tang, Big L, LOTN, + countless others all debuted singles, dropped freestyles, and cracked jokes like you were hanging with your boys. Radio That Changed Lives, Bobbito Garcia's full length documentary, captures the impact that the duo had on the Hip Hop scene at the time. This deluxe boxset includes a DVD of the film, three limited edition cassette recordings of the radio show, and a fold out poster.
